A soon to be named band featuring Rick Savage www.myspace.com/ricksavage: Trumpet/flugelhorn, Joe Tranchina www.jovitra.com: keyboards, Bill McCrossen:bass , and MD on drums/percussion is nearing the mastering stage. We have been developing a beautiful dialog between us during our improvisations, with influences from jazz, world, rock to ambient. Because our backgrounds are so varied our sessions have become a melting pot of ideas while still remaining highly listenable. In addition to being a musician in the band MD was the engineer on this project. Live shows will be in the works.

Featuring David(vocals/guitar), Chris Breetveld(Vocals, Bass) and MD (vocals, Drums) we play retro pop gems from the 60's through 80's. We are finishing mixing several new songs and are looking forward to hitting the stage soon.
This spring/summer 2010 saw many projects including playing drums/percussion and engineering music for the upcoming Indie film " Sweet Lorraine". Starring Tatum O'Neal with soundtrack by David Biglin. The Dan Bruder band, MD engineered several sessions and played a little percussion with Liberty DeVitto(Drums), Dan Bruder(vocals/guitar) David Biglin(Guitar/bass), Devon Allman(Guitar), John Ginty, keyboards(Jewel).
Patrick Pfeiffer was in several weeks back recording a CD for his upcoming book Bass Guitar Exercises for Dummies. We had a blast recording over 30 pieces one day with a trio featuring Patrick Pfeiffer(bass), Sean Harkness(guitar) and MD on drums. MD also engineered and mixed this CD. This is the follow up book to Bass Guitar For Dummies Vol. II in which many of the tracks where recorded here at Rockburn Studios with Patrick and Sean.
Michael's original compostions "Scorched and Baghdad" received Honorable Mention form the 2009 Billboard World Song Contest. Feedback from Billboard judges cited "Scorched as a 'great sounding tune' with 'very cool rhythmic elements' while "Baghdad" addressed 'very pertinent subject matter.... with a respectable amount of humanistic responsibility. Excellent job..."
Singer/Songwriter/Drummer/Percussionist. Michael D'Agostino creates music ranging from his unique blend of pop-rock to world influenced techno-tribal to ambient weaving a deep rhythmic tapestry throughout. Michael utilizes a variety of instruments from acoustic and electronic drums to a percussion instruments including:frame drum, djembe, dumbek, tibetan bells, shakers and singing bowls. He also plays keyboards and is fluent at programming all sorts of synths and samplers.

MD is now performing and recording with a new set of Brady Drums. These drums record exceptionally well an
d project live with a sound like no other. Made from Jarrah a hardwood grown only in Australia. He is a Sabian and Vic Firth endorser.
MD recently purchased a beautiful vintage Slingerland kit circa 1972. 14X20kick, 8X12 and 14 X 14 toms. Has all the warmth and roundess of tone vintage drums like this are famous for.
